The Beauty of Joseon Matte Sun Stick: Mugwort + Camelia is the ideal sunstick to reapply every 2-3 hours. The stick contains sebum-controlling silica powder which gives a mattifying effect without a sticky film. artemisia capillaris and green tea extracts ensure smooth, hydrated and cared-for skin.

The sun is one of the most important factors of skin aging and hyperpigmentation. We distinguish different types of radiation: UVA (UVA1 has a range of 340-400 nanometers and UVA2 includes 320 and 340 nanometers), UVB (320-280 nm) and UVC (280-100 nm). UVC is not noticeable to us because the ozone layer protects us from it.

Ingredients we love

• Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract: An Aryuvedic medicinal herb known for it’s yellowness. Has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antioxidant properties, and might help regulate sebum production and have a brightening effect.
• Artemisia Vulgaris: Traditional Korean Hanbang-plant known for its antibacterial, soothing and anti-inflammatory abilities.
• Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract: A powerful antioxidant with UV protective, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial abilities, useful in treating rosacea, acne and atopic dermatitis.
• While most sun sticks are tailored for outdoor pursuits, we’ve designed ours to be just as beneficial in our everyday urban environments. Regular sunscreen reapplication every 2-3 hours is crucial for optimal SPF and PA protection, but it’s often challenging. Therefore, we’ve engineered a sun stick with a matte formula that applies smoothly, without becoming clumpy or greasy, even when reapplied over makeup.

  Our sun stick utilizes a sebum-control silica powder to regulate oil production, ensuring an adherence boost and a smooth, matte finish. Plus, it’s packed with artemisia capillaris and green tea extracts, contributing to a smooth skin texture while preserving its hydration.
